Ah, smells like school

School will start Monday. I guess I'm kind of looking forward to it. It will give me something to do and keep me busy so that I don't miss the hubby so much. He won't be back until around the middle of next month.
I started working for the genetics professor this week. So far I've just been getting the lab ready for school next week. I haven't had to do anything crazy yet. I am sure that the prep will get more involved once the semester progresses.
I went today and bought some school supplies. I got some notebooks, pens, and pencils. I always get mechanical pencils because they stay sharp and you don't have to mess with sharpening them if the tip breaks off. The ones I got are 0.9 mm. I usually get 0.7. This is a big deal to me because I press hard and my pencils are always breaking. I also got some erasable pens. We'll see how those work out. I wanted to get them because I will have to keep a lab notebook, which has to be written in pen. Well, that's about as exciting as my life gets lately.

Guitar Hero

While out in CA I discovered Guitar Hero. Several people in my family have been into the game for a while. I had heard of it, just never played it. I spent the night at my sister's apartment the night before she got married. That was when she taught me to play. Now I'm hooked.
