Home Again

I left California last night at around 12:00 a.m. and got in to EVV at about 9:00 a.m. I was pretty darn tired when I got home so I took about a two hour nap. I have about a month before the fall semester ends and I'm hoping that I can get everything done that I need to before the semester starts.
My trip went well. I got to spend time with a lot of people that I don't get to see very often. Yesterday me, Nathan, Joy, and Dad went bowling then walked around in the mall for a bit. After that we got some dinner. Dad and Joy took me to the airport. This Sunday Robin and Kevin will be having a wedding present opening party. Hopefully someone will take pictures since I will have to miss it.

Busy Busy

Things here in CA have been crazy. The wedding went well, but had to start late because my Grammy turned the wrong way after exiting the freeway. She is notorious for doing things like that. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a lot of fun. Robin looked so gorgeous in her dress. She looked like a catalog bride.
Last night me and some family members went to the Brea Improv to see Norm McDonald from Saturday Night Live perform. He was dressed like a slob and sounded like he was completely wasted. I would have preferred a less well known comedian to a very drunk not very funny big name guy.
I spent the night at my little brother's house last night and made him breakfast this morning. I saw Chuck and Larry with my dad while my brother was at work. It was a pretty funny movie. When my brother got home we went and ate sushi for dinner then I went to his dodge ball tournament. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to Down Town Disney with my mom and tomorrow evening my Uncle is having a get together. I've been running around like crazy since I got here. I'll be heading back to IN Thur night but won't arrive until early Fri morning. For now, I'm off to bed.

Surprise!

We had a surprise bridal shower for my little sister last night. When she walked in and everyone jumped out she had a very confused look on her face. She thought that she was coming over for a family get together. She had NO idea that we had been planning this for her. Everything went really well. We all had a lot of fun and my sister got a lot of really nice things. We played Bridal Bingo, Picture Perfect, and made a bridal gown for the bride-to-be out of toilet paper and tool. I'll have to add a slide show when I get a chance.

Free cats, broken luggage and raging hormones...

I'm in a really bad mood lately because of my stupid hormones. It wouldn't be so bad except that I'm about to fly to CA and I'm trying to get everything ready. Every time I hit a snag everything feels ten times worse than what it should be. I was getting my luggage out to pack and realized that the stupid baggage handlers at the airport have somehow managed to loose all of the straps to my luggage except one and have actually manage to break one of the buckles off of one of my suite cases. I just got this luggage in Dec! Not only that but I pulled out the carry on and instantly smelled cat piss. So not only is my luggage being severely mishandled by the airport, but my cats have decided to use it as a toilet as well!!

News

I took the math portion of the PRAXIS today and PASSED!! Now I can apply to the teachers ed program. Yay! I'm so glad that I decided to go ahead and take it. Now I can relax the rest of the summer.

Seriously?!

So I've had this funk for about a week and a half now. I'm not sure if it's viral or bacterial but it doesn't seem to want to go away. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have this annoying cough, which makes it difficult to sleep. Between that and waking up itchy because my skin is peeling I didn't get much sleep last night. I woke up this morning at 6:00 and took some cough medicine and lay back down in hopes of getting a few more hours of sleep. When I FINALLY fell asleep, the neighbor's kids decided to light off the extra firecrackers they had. This is at 8:00 a.m.!! I tried to ignore it and hope that they'd run out.... that didn't happen. I threw on my robe, marched down stairs, threw open my sliding glass door, which faces their driveway, and yelled, "Hey guys?! Would you mind doing that later in the day when I'm not TRYING TO SLEEP!!" They stopped, but when I got back in bed and tried to go back to sleep.... yeah I didn't fall back to sleep.
