Holiday World
Yesterday I went to Holiday World with my mother-in-law, niece and nephew. We took it easy and spent most of the day in the lazy river. The lazy river, for those of you who don't know what that is, is just a circulating body of water. You sit in an inner tube and just float around. I had sense enough to put sun block on my face. I actually put sun block on my face twice. I figured the rest of me would be okay. I was WRONG. All I have to say is OUCH! It was mostly my stomach and fronts of my upper legs that got burned. The rest of me is just a little pink.
Summer
So I'm finally done with my fun filled summer quantitative analysis class and have the rest of the summer to relax. Well, sort of. I still need to study for the PRAXIS I, which I have to pass this summer, and work on a speech for my sister's reception.
I had to do some shoe sopping today. Turns out this dress was VERY hard to find shoes for. I only found two pairs that remotely matched and they were both over $50.00. I hate spending that much money on a pair of shoes that I know that I'll only wear once. I'm not sure where else to look.
This Friday Tony's family is supposed to have a birthday get together for me and my brother-in-law. I sort of wanted to have a layed back get together at someone's house but my brother in law and his wife want to go out to eat. I don't mind going out to eat, but when you have that many people it gets to be a bit cumbersome.
I had to run out yesterday and buy a Father's Day card for my dad. I forgot that it was coming up and had to get the card in the mail so that it would get to him on time. I think we are celebrating Father's Day this Friday too. The larger the family gets the harder it is to get everyone together and the more celebrations we start lumping together.
