Really? Cool!

So my professor got around to posting our grades from the humanities test. I somehow managed to get an A on it! I'm pretty dang happy about that. I was pretty nervous about the test. Now if only I could manage to do as well on my next ecology test...

yaaaaaaaaaaay....oh!

Okay, so I was all excited because I get to go home for Christmas. I made plans to fly in on a Wednesday so that my sister can pick me up. I was buying a discount ticket so I couldn't see flight times until AFTER I booked. So, I book my filght and look at my itenerary. I don't get in to LAX until 12:20 a.m.! Who is going to be able to pick me up? I'll more than likely have to get a shuttle and ride home in the middle of the night with some random person after being on an airplane for several hours. Thanks hotwire! Not only that, but when I looked at my calander it hit me that I won't be home for my fifth anniversary. I didn't even think about it until I saw that date marked on my planer! I guess we'll have to celebrate it the weekend after I get back.

You've gotta fight, for your right, to PAAARTY!

I went to a birthday/Friday the 13th/Halloween party last night. I don't know how long it's been since I've gone to a party. A long time. I didn't think I'd stay that long. I ended up leaving at 2:00 a.m. and woke up with a hangover this morning. I didn't even drink that much. I had two and a half drinks. This shows what I light weight I am. So I was basically useless today until around 3:30 p.m. Not so good when you have a bunch of homework. I still don't feel 100% coherent. I'm glad it's Saturday. I still have tomorrow to get things done.

I've been looking up plane tickets on line to fly home for Chrismtas. I'm looking forward to seeing my family, but not looking forward to being around all of the millions of other people flying home for the holidays. I wonder if I will be "randomly selected" to be searched again as I am EVERY time I fly. If so, I will call the airline and file a complaint. That's just rediculous. It is especially frustrating to me because I am a veteran. I served my country for four years.. I'm not going to bring explosives on to a damn airplane!

Ouch

I went for a run earlier today. It sucked. It's so strange some days I feel like I can run forever, and then there are days like today where I have to push myself just to make it to thirty minutes. I felt out of breath and stiff the WHOLE time. My legs are sore right now too. My shins have been giving me problems. I think I need to do more low impact exercise. Bleh.

While I was out running I saw several inflatible lawn ornaments out for Halloween. Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE those? They remind me of something I'd see at a used car lot. I just want to walk around with a sharp object and pop them while I laugh meniacly. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Maple Cream

Okay, our school just built a new library and it has a Starbucks in it. Im not a coffee drinker so I wasnt all that excited about the Starbucks. Well I have a humanities class that meets at Starbucks for what our professor calls "thirsty Thursday" where we get together and discuss topics from the discussion board. I am here early today so I decided to get a drink. I found out, though, that they dont take credit cards...so no drink...but one of the girls behind the counter insisted on buying me a drink because she felt bad. I told her no, but they went ahead and made me this non-caffeinated drink called a maple cream. All I can say is YUMMY! It tasts like pancakes. The guy who made it told me that Starbucks is trying to focus more on coming up with non-coffee drinks for people like me who don't drink coffee. My body doesn't do too well with all that caffein.
